Ah, The Simpsons. Religiously. you’d get the homework done and out of the way before 6pm just so you could sit back, relax and enjoy the latest instalment from Springfield.
Nestled in between two Australian soaps, it was on our screens at a perfect time in the day. If you were lucky, you might have even been allowed to eat your dinner while watching it but only if the auld pair weren’t watching the news.
It’s the height of praise to a great television show when you reiterate lines from the programme in everyday life. Father Ted quotes roll off the tongue from time to time and it’s the same with The Simpsons.
How someone didn’t think to start this thread before this is beyond us but Natasha Hodgson took to Twitter on Friday night to ask her followers, what their “most-used-in-real-life Simpsons quote” was.

Natasha was torn between two absolute gems, “he can talk- I CAN SIIIIING” from the famous Dr Zaius song or when Homer uttered the words “Lisa, I’d like to buy your rock,” in order to keep tigers away from the house.
We don’t know if Natasha knew what she was getting herself in for when she posted this tweet but the response has been colossal.
In just under a day, there have been over 2,000 comments on the thread and each and every reply is as good as the next.
As much as we’d love to sit down and talk about every single one, instead, we’ve picked out a few belters that we love and use all the time.
