Our TV movie pick for tonight (Friday, 18 September) is Starve Acre, the 2023 British horror thriller.

Based on the 2019 novel of the same name by Andrew Michael Hurley, the film follows Richard (Matt Smith), a university archaeology lecturer, and his wife, Jules (Morfydd Clark). The pair live with their young son Owen (Arthur Shaw) on Richard's deceased father's isolated farm on the moors.

When Owen starts acting strangely, the couple unwittingly allow "dark and sinister forces into their home, awakening a long-dormant ancient evil rooted deep in the countryside".
