Stranger Things cast tease more details about the upcoming season this year

Alan Loughnane

The first season was… outstanding.

In an exclusive interview with People, the cast of Stranger Things have teased what will happen in the second season of the show when it returns to Netflix this Halloween.

Yes, we can hear your groans of despair… Halloween is still a long way away, but we urge you to remain patient for the cast of Stranger Things have givin some hints about what’s coming up.

The cast of Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin),  Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas) and Noah Schnapp (Will) won the hearts and minds of fans last season.

The gang spoke to People in an interview, but they remained remarkably tight-lipped on the details of the series, with Matarazzo speaking about how secret this script is being kept compared to the opening season.

But it also seems that the show is about to get a hell of a lot darker and scarier in the coming season (not sure we can cope with that but, OK).

“I think this season will be a lot darker. A lot more horror oriented,” said Wolfhard. “I think people are going to like it more than the first season.”

“The great thing about this season is you get to see insights into each character on their own. You’re going to see a lot more into the lives of how the characters are coping with what’s been going on,” said Matarazzo. “I think they’re all very emotionally scarred. They feel alone because their best friend [Will] is back and he’s not acting like their best friend anymore. He’s changed.”

In case you missed it, here’s the trailer for the new season.
