Everyone at JOE Towers has a massive amount of love for the Jump Street films and we’re absolutely shocked to our very core delighted that the third instalment, 23 Jump Street, is going ahead. This summer’s sequel was hilarious because it brilliantly took the mickey out of how dumb sequels actually are and the last half hour parodied more cheesy clichés than we can remember.
The post-credits scene, featuring Ice Cube’s Captain Dickson tells Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum’s Schmidt and Jenko, that “You two sons of bitches are going to Medical School!” was followed by 22 potential follow-ups and they all look brilliantly stupid.
Rodney Rothman, one of the writers on 22 Jump Street, has been hired to pen the new film under the genius direction of Phil Lord and Chris Miller, and we don’t think they’ll be short of ideas if this end sequence is anything to go by.
