The Back to the Future cast reunited over the weekend and it looks like they haven’t aged a day

It’s not even the work of a time machine. Great Scott!

While the draw of nostalgia is strong, we’d be against any new reboot/relaunching of the Back to the Future saga because in a weird way, it’s very much a product of the time that it was made.

Obviously, that statement is a bit weird due to the fact that the trilogy revolves around a time machine, but after a recent fake post about a possible fourth film went viral, the creators have put the issue to rest.

During a recent Fan Expo in Boston, BTTF co-creator Bob Gale and co-writer and director Robert Zemeckis stated again that they’ve no interest in rebooting the franchise.

The duo have gone on record multiple times saying that a remake “can’t happen” until they are “dead”.

This being said, the stars of the film – Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Lea Thompson, and Thomas Wilson – don’t need to jump into the DeLorean to look any younger because they all met at the weekend to pose for this nostalgic snap.

Christ, Biff (Thomas Wilson) looks even younger now than an older version of the character in the first two films.

33 years since being released. Yikes.

This was special. #backtothefuture #reunited #comiccon

Regarding the idea of another film, Wilson reportedly joked of a potential reboot: “Basically, I think America is saying, ‘Come on they’ve wrecked every other franchise with bad sequels, why not this one? C’mon, we would watch it until it sucks’.”

Michael J. Fox also said that co-creator Bob Gale is the “gatekeeper of the franchise” and as stated previously, he has no interest in a new film.

To be honest, we’re happy. Then again, we’ll always have the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance.
