Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson both return for the third series of the crime drama.
The third series of The Fall has started filming, with both Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson set to reprise their roles as Paul Spector and Superintendent Stella Gibson respectively.
Season two finished with a wounded Spector lying in the arms of Gibson having been shot.
Viewers were left wondering if the serial killer had survived, a question that appears to have been answered by creator Alan Cubitt.
Cubitt said "Obviously, I don't want to give anything away about how the third series will end, but I can say that I am looking forward to working with both Gillian and Jamie again in the near future."
Joining the cast will be Rebellion star Ruth Bradley, Mr Selfridge's Aidan McArdle and Trollied's Aisling Bea.
