The first trailer for Scorsese’s gangster epic The Irishman is finally here

Paul Moore

The Irishman

Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci. It’s coming to Netflix. YES!

That cast.

There’s no need to say anything else.

We’ve already talked at length about the life of Frank Sheeran and interviewed the author of I Heard You Paint Houses, Charles Brandt.

All that’s left is to get on with the business at hand.

The Irishman is coming to Netflix and select cinemas this autumn.

Plot’s it all about?: An epic saga of organised crime in post-war America told through the eyes of World War II veteran Frank Sheeran, a hustler and hitman who worked alongside some of the most notorious figures of the 20th century.

Spanning decades, the film chronicles one of the greatest unsolved mysteries in American history, the disappearance of legendary union boss Jimmy Hoffa, and offers a monumental journey through the hidden corridors of organised crime: its inner workings, rivalries and connections to mainstream politics.

Cast: Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci, Harvey Keitel, Jesse Plemons, Anna Paquin, Stephen Graham, Ray Romano and Bobby Cannavale.

Director: Martin Scorsese.

Release date: TBC.

Enjoy!
