Plenty more drinkin’, shmokin’ and fightin’ to come from the boys from Castletown.

Fans of The Hardy Bucks will be glad to learn that the show will return to RTE for a third series in the Autumn, four years after the series’ last run in 2011 and two years after the release of the Hardy Bucks movie in 2013.

Documenting the lives of Eddie, Buzz, the Viper and company in the fictional west of Ireland town, Castletown, the show enjoyed huge popularity online before being exposed to a wider audience via RTE’s Storyland competition in 2009.

RTE ran two series of the show and a Christmas special before a feature length movie about the lads’ trip to Poland to follow Ireland at the 2012 Euros went on release in early 2013.

The Hardy Bucks themselves revealed that shooting for a third season had begun in Mayo earlier this month…

… and last night, RTE confirmed that it would be making a return to the small screen in the Autumn…

Plenty more of where this came from so…
