The next James Bond film has an official release date

Paul Moore

James Bond will return.

After 007 left Blofeld  lying on the side of the road in Spectre , we wondered where James Bond’s next adventure might take him. In fact, we were more curious if Daniel Craig would be picking up the Walther PPK and returning to serve on her Majesty’s Secret Service for another mission.

In an official statement, the studio/producers have stressed that there will be another Bond adventure but any details regarding the “film’s cast, director and distributor will be announced at a later date.”

Oh yes! Bond will be back for his 25th adventure on November 8, 2019.

“007 James Bond will return to US cinemas on November 8, 2019 with a traditional earlier release in the UK and the rest of the world. Bond 25 will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade and produced by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. The film’s cast, director and distributor will be announced at a later date,” the statement read.

Purvis and Wade have co-wrote the six James Bond films from The World Is Not Enough to Spectre.

Regarding Daniel Craig’s involvement with the film, various rumours have circulated but the choice of director is just as interesting. Given that Sam Mendes did a brilliant job with Skyfall, we would be very happy to see him return for another film, but there’s no denying the appeal of Christopher Nolan – especially since he confirmed his interest in the project.

In fact, if Craig decided to hang up his tuxedo, Tom Hardy has also openly talked about playing the beloved spy in Nolan’s adaptation.

Whatever direction they plan on taking 007 in, we’re just delighted to see that Bond has his licence to kill renewed.
