The film has taken $429.65 million in North America and $578.8 million internationally for a worldwide total of $1.008 billion, Variety reported. It is Nolan’s first release since 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises to clear the mark, and having passed $700 million only days ago, it is now on course to become his highest-grossing film ever.

The adaptation of Homer’s poem is the third R-rated film to top $1 billion, after Joker and Deadpool & Wolverine, and the fifth movie of 2026 to do so.
