Here's who R-Patz will be facing off against in The Batman.

It looks like the Penguin and Catwoman will be the antagonists in the upcoming Robert Pattinson-starring Batman movie.

The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Wave newsletter revealed the news and as fans will know, both villains previously appeared together in 1992's Batman Returns, played by Danny DeVito and Michelle Pfieffer.

On Friday, it was all but confirmed that Robert Pattinson will take over the cape and cowl from Ben Affleck.

While Pattinson made his name with the Twilight saga, he has since become an actor who always picks very interesting projects - check out Cosmopolis, The Lost City of Z, The Rover, High Life and the incredible Good Time right now.

Robert Pattinson takes over from Ben Affleck, whose time as Batman was rather rocky, with Batman Vs Superman and Justice League not being particularly well received.

Prior to Batman Returns, both Catwoman and The Penguin have appeared multiple times on-screen. Burgess Meredith played the Penguin in the classic 1966 Adam West-starring show, and more recently Robin Lord Taylor reinvented the character in Gotham.

Catwoman was played by three different actresses - Eartha Kitt, Julie Newmar and Lee Merriweather - in the 1966 show, and Camren Bicondova took the role in Gotham.

Anne Hathaway played Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises.
