We believe that it's going to be totally different to 'a bit of how's your father'
After the incredible, nay legen-(wait for it)-dary success of How I Met Your Mother it seems that the folks at CBS aren't quite ready to let that cash cow get away from them just yet.
According to Deadline.com, it seems that a spin-off tentatively entitled 'How I Met Your Father' could well be on the way. The series would look at the story from the mother's point of view, and her quest to find Ted Mosby, her future husband.
The same producers and creators who started HIMYM, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, would be involved from the start, but it doesn't seem that any of the characters from the hit show would feature in the spin-off. There is even talk that the seeds of the new show might be sewn in the finale of HIMYM, with the new group floating around MacLaren's pub.
Hat-tip to Digital Spy for this one
