Being asked to be a part of the Cannes Film Festival jury is a huge honour.
The jury presidents since 2010 have included Tim Burton, Steven Spielberg, Robert DeNiro, The Coen Brothers and George Miller.
Same goes with those who make it on to the jury, usual an eclectic, international mix of much-revered actors, producers and directors.
2016's members, for example, were Arnaud Desplechin, Kirsten Dunst, Valeria Golino, Mads Mikkelsen, László Nemes, Vanessa Paradis, Katayoon Shahabi and Donald Sutherland.
And for the most part, 2017's line-up follows suit.
Pedro Almodovar is the jury president, while the jury consists of Jessica Chastain, Maren Ade, Park Chan-Wook, Fan Bingbing, Agnes Jaoui, Gabriel Yared, Paulo Sorrentino and ..... Will Smith.
Yep, the Fresh Prince Of Bel Air has been asked to join the jury of the Cannes Film Festival 2017.
Now, we're not saying Jazzy Jeff's BFF isn't qualified to be on the jury. But maybe the fact that he hasn't had a good film since 2008's Hancock (don't believe us? He followed it up with Seven Pounds, Men In Black 3, After Earth, Winter's Tale, Focus, Concussion, Suicide Squad and Collateral Beauty), we're just not sure he's the best judge of quality.
Maybe the rest of jury will just see what he votes for and then do the opposite? Nah, you can never argue with the Man Of The Willenium!
