We’re not sure if this sounds terrible or if it sounds like the best movie of all time…
Remember Space Jam? The genuinely brilliant movie that showed legendary basketball player Michael Jordan crossover into the world of Looney Tunes?
A top class movie. No doubt about it.
Do you think it would have been as good if instead of Jordan, it was the skateboarder Tony Hawk?
Because as bizarre as it sounds, we were very close to getting to see that movie.
Hawk took to Twitter to tell a story about how Skate Jam was nearly a thing…
in 2003, I was requested to meet with Warner Brothers about doing a film tentatively titled “Skate Jam.” They were bringing back Looney Tunes with “Back In Action” & then wanted to start on my project immediately. A week later Back In Action bombed & Skate Jam was shelved forever pic.twitter.com/9giKzBnlWH

It wouldn’t have been released instead of Space Jam, as that had come out six years previously, but it does sound like a pretty interesting sequel all the same.
We’re not exactly sure what we think of it just yet.
