The Late Late Toy Show is now looking for the children who could become this year’s big stars, with families across Ireland being invited to submit applications.
Parents have until midnight on Sunday, 27 September to submit an application, so anyone hoping to see their child take part will need to get their entry in before the deadline.
“The stars of the Toy Show have always been our amazing kids. And this year we’re looking forward to them shining brighter than ever.”
Kielty added: “So if you want to dream big and show Ireland and the world what you’ve got, the adventure starts here...” RTÉ described the countdown to the night as having officially begun.

Whether it is showing off one of the year’s must-have toys or performing in front of the nation, children are being given the chance to land a spot on the much-loved RTÉ programme. Presenter Patrick Kielty will once again host the show, which is set to bring its usual mix of fun, performances and festive chaos.
The Late Late Toy Show airs on RTÉ One and streams on RTÉ Player, where it is typically available to watch back after broadcast. If you are after more homegrown viewing in the meantime, there is plenty on the way among the best Irish shows on RTÉ.
