The Toy Show DJ brothers have been offered a major gig at Iveagh Gardens

The duo stole the hearts of the nation again last night.

Brothers and Toy Show favourites DJ Calum and Hype Man Jackson have been offered a slot to perform at a major gig at Iveagh Gardens in Dublin next summer.

The pair returned to the Late Late on Friday (3 December) following last week’s Toy Show, where Calum talked with host Ryan Tubridy about being recognised by strangers in McDonald’s and being flooded with offers for his services.

“My dad’s phone has been buzzing out of it… Like FM104 wants me, iRadio wants me, 2FM, RTÉ wants me,” he said.

When on the Toy Show, the young DJ said his dream was to play on stage in front of thousands of people.

Well now, thanks to RTÉ 2FM’s Jenny Greene, that looks set to become a reality.

In a video message from Greene aired on Friday’s Late Late Show, she said:

“Hey Calum, hey Hype Man Jackson… what a week you two have had and so well deserved.

“You blew us all away last weekend on the Toy Show. I think I speak for the whole country when I say that.

“But Calum, I do remember you saying to Ryan that you would love to perform in front of a few thousand people on a main stage.

“So, I was just wondering, is there any chance that you would open up for me next summer in the Iveagh Gardens with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra?

“But you’ve got to bring Hype Man Jackson because we need to get the crowd going.

“Look, have a think about it and give me a shout.”

In response, Calum’s eyes teared up with joy, with the young DJ telling Ryan he was delighted with the offer.

“[I’m] just so happy… especially Jenny saying that. I’m just amazed.”
