The trailer for the season finale of Derry Girls is here and it’s their ‘favourite one of them all’

Paul Moore

In a brilliant season, this could be the best one yet. Don’t miss it.

Much like Sister Michael’s patience when she’s dealing with our favourite Derry girls, time is wearing thin for the debut season of Lisa McGee’s beloved comedy. Don’t feel too down though because Season 2 has already been approved and the season finale is shaping up to be one of the best episodes yet.

The beloved teacher’s pet/swot/person that buckles at the slightest bit of pressure, Clare (the extremely talented Nicola Coughlan) has said that tonight’s episode is her “favourite one of them all” and the trailer has just been released.

In typical fashion, we get a look at the gang as they’re trying to work together with a deadline looming large. Erin is trying to hold things together, Clare is panicking, Orla is away with the fairies, James has no idea what the hell is going on and Michelle, well, she couldn’t be arsed.

Who knew that Michelle Pfeiffer looks like a cat?

To round off a brillaint season, the season finale of Derry Girls airs tonight on Channel 4 at 10pm.

Elsewhere, two of the Derry Girls, Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Nicola Coughlan have elaborated on one of best gags from the most recent episode, the punt purse. After watching this, we’re very tempted to go and get a cream horn.

Doesn’t that sound really, really dirty?
