Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Ad Astra.
Plot’s it all about?
Brad Pitt plays an astronaut who is haunted by the death of his father (Tommy Lee Jones), another astronaut who lost his life decades earlier on a mission.
However, after a disastrous event on Earth, the government is forced to reveal to Pitt that his Dad might not be as dead as they’d led him to believe, and that he might be the only one who can find and stop him from using a top-secret material from destroying the universe.
Yep, this appears to be a big sci-fi action thriller mystery horror (ALL of the genres!), but the fact that it comes from the writer/director of gritty dramas like We Own The Night and The Yards makes it all the more interesting.
Plus, while it does seem at times to be an intelligent, existential look into the meaning of life, there also appears to be a huge shoot-out on the moon, so… yeah, we’re definitely going to see how this one turns out.
