#TRAILERCHEST: Colin Farrell and Barry Keoghan’s new movie looks freaky as f**k

Unmissable.

A nightmarish trailer…

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the extremely creepy but brand new trailer for The Killing of a Sacred Deer.

Plot’s it all about? Jeez, where to begin with this one? It’s a psychological-thriller/ horror-drama that made quite an impression at the Cannes Film Festival in May. Colin Farrell plays a surgeon whose life begins to collapse around him when he befriends a patient’s son (Barry Keoghan).

In the trailer, Keoghan displays some eerily creepy intensity that will make you believe this could be one of the best movies of the  year.

Nicole Kidman also stars in the movie as Farrell’s wife, while Sunny Suljic and Raffey Cassidy play his children.

Here’s the official synopsis of the movie:

Dr. Steven Murphy (Colin Farrell) is a renowned cardiovascular surgeon presiding over a spotless household with his ophthalmologist wife Anna (Nicole Kidman) and their two exemplary children, 12-year-old Bob (Sunny Suljian) and 14-year-old Kim (Raffey Cassidy). Lurking at the margins of his idyllic suburban existence is Martin (Barry Keoghan), a fatherless teen who Steven has covertly taken under his wing. As Martin begins insinuating himself into the family’s life in ever-more unsettling displays, the full scope of his intent becomes menacingly clear when he confronts Steven with a long-forgotten transgression that will shatter the Murphy family’s domestic bliss.

Starring: Colin Farrell, Barry Keoghan, Nicole Kidman, Alicia Silverstone, Bill Camp, Sunny Suljic and Raffey Cassidy.

Directed by: Yorgos Lanthimos.

Irish and UK release date: October 12, 2017.

Have a gander at the trailer below and be prepared to be suitably creeped out.
