Plot's it all about?
While the other Marvel movies have been going from strength to strength, the general consensus is that the Thor movies haven't been keeping up to speed (although, truth be told, we've got a bit of a soft spot for Thor: The Dark World).
That looks like it is all going to change with Ragnarok, which films Thor's home world destroyed by Hela (Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett looking like she's having the time of her life), and in the bedlam, Thor gets captured by a race who set up gladiatorial death-matches for the entertainment of their leader, played by the iconic Jeff Goldblum.
And who does Thor have to face off in the arena? Well, we'll leave that for the trailer to surprise you with...
There is definitely a cheeky, Guardians Of The Galaxy-vibe to this new outing (the killer song choice and that day-glo aesthetic) which is definitely going to entice a few new viewers to the God Of Thunder's latest outing.
Seriously, this might just be the best trailer we've seen so far this year.
Starring: Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Jeff Goldblum, Mark Ruffalo, Idris Elba, Karl Urban, Tessa Thompson and Anthony Hopkins.
Directed by: Taika Waititi (What We Do In The Shadows, Hunt For The Wilderpeople)
Irish release date: 27 October 2017
