#TRAILERCHEST : The first trailer for Simon Pegg & Nick Frost’s new horror-comedy

Kyle Picknell

Slaughter Rulez

The boys are back in town

They gave us Shaun of the Dead, they gave us Hot Fuzz. They starred in Paul and then they completed the Cornetto Trilogy with The World’s End which, sure, wasn’t as good, but let me say again: they gave us Shaun of the Dead.

They gave us Hot Fuzz.

And they’re back, look!

Anyway, the film is called Slaughter Rulez and here’s what it’s about.

Plot’s it all about?: It sees Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for their first film together since World’s End along with Michael Sheen, Asa Butterfield, Hermione Corfield and Finn Cole from Peaky Blinders.

The film tells the story of a stuffy private boarding school and a nearby fracking site in the woods that unleashes a load of demons (?), monsters (??), evil ancient magic (???) and a Skoda (!!!).

Pegg plays a character called ‘Meredith Houseman’ and Frost plays ‘Woody’, who appears to be some mad lumberjack that sells drugs to children, so if that doesn’t convince you to go and see it, I’m not sure anything will.

Welcome to Slaughterhouse, an elite boarding school where boys and girls are groomed for power and greatness…and they’re about to meet their match. This ancient and ordered world is about to be shaken to its foundations – literally – when a controversial frack site on prized school woodland causes seismic tremors, a mysterious sinkhole, and an unspeakable horror to be unleashed. Soon a new pecking order will be established as the pupils and teachers alike become locked in a bloody battle for survival…

Starring: Asa Butterfield, Finn Cole, Hermione Corfield, Michael Sheen with Nick Frost and Simon Pegg.

Director: It’s directed by former member of Kula Shaker, Crispian Miller.

Release date: It hits cinemas on Halloween. How spooky.
