Prepare yourself. This movie is going to make you cry. A lot.
Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we're taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for Justice League.Plot's it all about?
John Crowley (Brooklyn, Intermission) directs this adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, which tells the story of a boy in New York who is taken in by a wealthy Upper East Side family after his mother is killed in a bombing at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
From the trailer, we can see that Ansel Elgort (Baby Driver) is the slightly more grown-up version of that boy, and we're told his story through a series of flashbacks, visiting his mother (Nicole Kidman), and his new adoptive parents (Sarah Paulson and Luke Wilson).
It looks absolutely beautiful too, probably because it has Roger Deakins (Skyfall, Fargo, Sicario, Blade Runner 2049) on cinematography duties.
Also, the trailer only alludes to it at the very end, but anyone who has read the book will know that Elgort's character did something extremely risky in the aftermath of that explosion, so we're not going to give it away here, because maybe the movie is leading up to that reveal instead of coming straight out with it.
Either way, we're looking at a big Oscar contender once the movie is released later this year.
