#TRAILERCHEST: IT Chapter Two is here and it looks absolutely terrifying

It Chapter Two

Pennywise is back to haunt your dreams.

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for IT: Chapter Two.

“We all float down here” is what Pennywise famously said to Georgie during that traumatic opening scene and after Chapter One became the highest-grossing horror of all time, it’s time for evil to float back to the surface as director Andy Muschietti reunites the Losers Club—both young and old.

As fans will know, Chapter One was set in the 1980s and featured the Losers Club as kids. However, the second part of this story is set 27 years later as Pennywise returns to terrorise the town of Derry, Maine.

In an interview with IGN, Bill Skarsgard (Pennywise) said that IT Chapter Two will delve into the origins of the evil clown.

“The first movie worked so well at what it is trying to do, I think, and ultimately that is the kids’ story, and you sort of fall in love with these kids. And the second one will be the adult story. And I think the right way to do it is to make that movie actively different.  I think there might be worth exploring sort of the psychological aspects of horror, but also maybe the sort of cosmological existence of this being. What is he (Pennywise), and where does he come from?” he said.

The actor added: “And, you know, it’s hardly answered in the novel, either. I mean, it’s very abstract. And I kind of like that. And if you’ve read the novel you know that they do actually go into his mind. Or they go into this trans-dimensional place, and they sort of beat him in this place.  Which might be interesting, what that place would be, and what would it look like. There are opportunities, I think, and I’m excited about it.”

We can’t wait!
