Rumoured to be the next Cloverfield film, the trailer is absolutely insane.
J.J Abrams and the Cloverfield universe have taken something of a hammering – and rightfully so – after the absolutely atrocious The Coverfield Paradox but we’ve had our eye on Overlord for quite some time now – in fact, it made our list of the best horrors to look out for in 2018.
Why? Well, it has World War II, the D-Day landings and zombies. Yeah, they had our money at that plot description.
Plot’s it all about? Much like most of the films being produced by Bad Robot, very little is known about the plot but we’re told that it revolves around two American soldiers that stray behind enemy lines on D Day.
Aside from this, we get a few images of weird experimentations on soldiers, gruesome transformations, flamethrowers, more bullets than a trigger-happy John Wick, evil scientists, creepy tunnels, desperate POWs, mysterious serums and blood thirsty Nazi zombies.
All in all, this looks like Wolfenstein with extra gore and zombies…we are here for that.
