#TRAILERCHEST: Pennywise has returned and he’s scarier than ever in IT: Chapter 2

The sequel features a scene with the most fake blood used in cinema history.

Welcome to #TrailerChest, where we’re taking a sneak peek at the brand new trailer for IT: Chapter Two.

What’s The Plot? It is funny to think that when this project was first announced to be split across two movies, there were a lot of people who didn’t think it was necessary, or that it would be successful.

Then Chapter One arrived in 2017 and promptly became the biggest box office hit in horror movie history, making over $700 million at the worldwide box office, and now the sequel has become one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

Not only that, but the hugely impressive grown-up versions of the Losers Club is a pretty spectacular line-up of great actors, plus we’ve been warned that the sequel will be a lot darker and scarier than the first movie.

If this new trailer is anything to go by, then they weren’t lying.

It also reportedly features more fake blood than any other movie ever made. Yep, even more than the elevator door scene in The Shining.

Horror fans rejoice, this looks like it could be spectacular.

Cast: Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty, Mama) as Beverley, James McAvoy (Split, Glass) as Bill, Bill Hader (Barry,The Skeleton Twins) as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa (Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments) as Mike, Jay Ryan (Mary Kills People) as Ben, James Ransone (The Wire) as Eddie, and Andy Bean (Power) as Stanley.

Reprising their roles as the original members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Martell as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben.

And, of course, Bill Skarsgård returns in the iconic role of Pennywise.

Director: Andy Muschietti

Irish release date: Friday 6 September

Enjoy!
