US TV network reportedly in talks for a second season of Dublin Murders

US TV network Starz is "in talks" for a second season of Dublin Murders, according to reports.

Jeffrey Hirsch, president and CEO of Starz, told Deadline that the first season of the crime drama - which launched later last year - had been performing well for them. “The audience grew from the beginning to the end of the series, which for us is always a great indicator of success,” he said. “We’re currently in talks about more seasons." He added that "there's a couple more books" they were looking at. "We’re trying to figure out what that looks like right now. We’ll hopefully continue to have good conversations," he said. The first season of Dublin Murders focused on Tana French's first two books, The Likeness and In The Woods. Sarah Phelps wrote the series. Killian Scott and Sarah Greene, who play lead detectives Rob Reilly and Cassie Maddox, previously admitted that filming season one left them "broken" and "exhausted". And that as much as they enjoyed being involved in the series, it did take it out of them. "You do get to the stage where you're exhausted," Scott told The Herald. "Although that's not the worst place for an actor to be because they're turning off their critical brain and just doing it." Greene added: "I felt completely satisfied by the work, but I was pretty broken by the end of it. I took two months off."
