Tom Vaughan-Lawlor takes on the role of the iconic Pádraig Pearse, the ‘voice of the 1916 Easter Rising,’ in a three-part TV3 drama called Trial Of The Century that begins next Saturday evening.
Best known for his portrayal of Nidge in Love/Hate, Vaughan-Lawlor stars in this imagined, alternative history which grants Pearse the trial he never received in life.
The series, which also stars Mark Huberman, will air on TV3 over three consecutive nights, to coincide with the anniversary of Pearse’s execution on 3rd May.
