We’re big fans of John Oliver here at JOE HQ.
The very talented English comedian, satirist and host of Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, expertly uses his razor-sharp wit to bring our attention to relevant issues of the day and to provide the public with some terrific takedowns of major companies and governments around the world.
Following on from his excellent segment on big tobacco companies back in February, Oliver returned to the subject recently in a clip which, much to the delight of Irish Prime Time fans, featured a cameo appearance from RTÉ presenter, David McCullagh, as he discussed Ireland’s introduction of plain packaging for tobacco products.
Here’s the host highlighting a very funny dance-related excerpt from a letter that was sent by one of the major tobacco companies to the Irish Government.

Needless to say, McCullagh was delighted with his surprise screen appearance…
