Video: A sneak peek at Glassland, the Irish film screening at the Sundance Festival next week

That’s a decent-sounding Irish accent from Toni Collette to be fair

That’s a decent-sounding Irish accent from Toni Collette to be fair.

The academy-award nominated Australian actress stars alongside promising Irish actor Jack Reynor in the Gerrard Barrett-directed film Glassland, which will hit Irish cinemas in April.

The film, which is set in Dublin, sees Reynor as a young taxi driver on the fringes of the criminal underworld, who goes further into the criminal underbelly by taking a job in an effort to save his mother (Collette) from addiction and unite his broken family.

Glassland will be screened at the Sundance Film Festival next week ahead of a cinema release in Ireland in April and considering the cast and what we’ve seen in the admittedly brief teaser, it’s one we’re very much looking forward to.
