I think it’s safe to say that Samuel L. Jackson doesn’t need any further publicity but JOE is going to give him some anyway. Why? Well he is effortlessly cool and he made Snakes on a Plane along with thousands of other reasons.
It seems that Jackson isn’t content with just being the actor who has starred in the highest grossing films of all time, $7.2 billion if you were wondering, as seen by the trailer for his new revenge film Kite.
On first glance, this strikes JOE as an cross between the action classic Léon and Kick-Ass, which isn’t a bad thing in our opinion. The story revolves around an orphaned schoolgirl, Sawa (India Eisley) who plans on wreaking revenge on the sex traffickers who killed her parents. Take a look.

Jackson is Oburi, the ex-police partner of her father who trains and guides the upcoming assassin as she navigates the seedy and corrupt criminal world.
You won’t be surprised to learn that the film is based on Yasuomi Umetsu’s hard-edged anime comic and the trailer certainly embraces the comics look and feel.
Kite it’s released in US cinemas on October 10 with an Irish release date soon to be announced.
