Stripping, twerking and making novel use of a foam finger, it was certainly memorable.

As is now traditional, the VMAs in New York last night managed to manufacture some ‘controversy’. In the past we had Kanye West interrupting Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga’s meat dress and Britney Spears and Madonna having a smooch and last night, Miley Cyrus provided the viral moment. The 20-year-old sang her own song 'We Can't Stop' before teaming up with Robin Thicke for a go at 'Blurred Lines'. Twitter went mental overnight as people were shocked/amazed/WTFed by her stripping, dancing and her apparent inability to keep her tongue in her mouth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-bTWk3IHoU In fairness, while the performance was definitely odd, we’ve seen a lot worse at awards ceremonies.
