The bit about Meow Meow is particularly hilarious.
However hilarious we thought #Yokegate was at times last week, it was a tad embarrassing to see how the episode was (deservedly) ridiculed around the world.
Under the circumstances, we can’t really complain that the world was laughing at our expense but if we could ask for anyone to help them do it, John Oliver would be top of the list.
As they are Stateside, we’re big fans of the English comedian’s work and he tackled an episode that has come to be known as #Yokegate in typically brilliant fashion, with guest cameos from RTE’s Sharon ní Bheoláin and Sinead O’Donnell.
We were about to say we hope John has no reason to poke fun at us again in the near future, but we can’t really count on that now can we?
