Very good idea, just one small problem though...

Very good idea, just one small problem though…

A few weeks ago, JOE brought you the news of British comedian John Oliver’s amazing dissection of FIFA and lucky for us he hasn’t stopped there.

It seems that the ex-Daily Show man isn’t just content with having the craic with Stephen Hawking or making up footballers names as he has now turned his attention towards Singapore’s national council on gambling.

The Singapore council launched a huge campaign this summer, based on a made-up story about a little boy whose dad had gambled all their family money on Germany winning the World Cup.

The campaign was pushed out to the population through a TV advert, massive billboards and online promotions, but, as we now know, the advert has backfired spectacularly because Germany won the World Cup. Oliver’s follow up to the initial video is absolutely priceless.

JOE is now wondering  if there is a bookie out there that will take that Ryan Gosling/ Eva Mendes bet.
