Meet the Fashion Police…

It’s been a long time coming, but Zoolander 2 is finally here.

After 15 years of waiting, the sequel to the much-loved, 2001 cult comedy classic, Zoolander, is about to be released in Irish cinemas.

Joining returning handsome heroes Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson) is the new star of the show, Melanie Valentina,  perfectly portrayed by Penélope Cruz.

When the worlds’s most beautiful people (and no, JOE’s not included in that group) suddenly start to turn up dead with former male model Derek Zoolander’s iconic ‘Blue Steel’ pose on their face, Interpol recruit Derek and his old foe-turned-friend, Hansel McDonald, to infiltrate the world of High Fashion in order to get to the bottom of the whole thing.

Ben Stiller is back as both director and star of the show, while familiar fashion faces, Owen Wilson and friend of JOE, Will Ferrell, return as the handsome Hansel and the evil Jacobim Mugatu.

As well as Cruz, the very funny Kristen Wiig joins the cast as dastardly designer, Alexanya Atoz.

We caught up with P-Cruz (yes, we went there) to chat about performing on stage with U2 in Spain, heading out for pints of the Black Stuff with Bono, and we were also intrigued to find out her opinion on Irish men in general.

Y’know, for research purposes.

We also chatted to Zoolander 2’s writer/Evil DJ, Justin Theroux AKA Mr Jennifer Aniston, to talk about the relief of finally getting the sequel on to the big screen, his availability to Evil DJ at parties, and what it was like to kill Justin Bieber.

Thanks Mr Theroux, you’ve done a good thing.

Enjoy…
