VIDEO: Ricky Gervais channels his inner David Brent to warn people against piracy

Colm Boohig

“If it does well, I stand to make millions.”

Most celebrities would deliver a message advising people against film piracy in a very dry and sincere manner, but if you ask Ricky Gervais to help you out with such an issue, he’s going to put his own brilliant spin on things.

And that’s exactly what he does here, as The Office creator asks people to support MomentsWorthPaying4 anti-piracy campaign by not pirating movies and instead pay for watching films, movies like his own David Brent: Life on the Road, which he “stands to make millions” from.

To be fair, the message that Gervais delivers is genuine and, judging by the unforgettable trailer and Brent’s latest single release, the movie is definitely going to be well worth paying to see.

Enjoy…
