That’s one way to put minds at ease.
Cyclone Marcia is currently wreaking considerable havoc on the east coast of Australia, with wind gusts of just under 300 kilometres per hour causing property damage, power outages and flooding in various parts of Queensland.
Thankfully, there have been no reports of any serious injuries to date.
With all due respect to the seriousness of the situation, we did get a kick out of the sign language interpreter on Channel 9 News and his interpretation of the words of Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and a police commissioner who were both delivering updates on the situation.

Word quickly spread about the interpreter’s flair on Twitter under the #signguy hashtag, producing a number of very entertaining screenshots indeed.

He’s easily our favourite sign language interpreter since the interpreter at the Nelson Mandela memorial…
