What are you playing at Guillermo del Toro? The sun is shining and we’re sitting at work, a safe place, surrounded by friends. There’s nothing to be afraid of, right?
Wrong.
The magnificent Mexican director and friend of JOE, has ventured back into the world of horror with his latest film, Crimson Peak. It features a crackin’ creepy cast including Tom Hiddleston, Charlie Hunnam, Jessica Chastain and the easily-pronouncable Mia Wasikowska.
Here’s the official scary synopsis from Universal…
“When her heart is stolen by a seductive stranger, a young woman is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay: a place filled with secrets that will haunt her forever. Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak.”
A barrel of laughs this is not. Hold us. Please.
