The chances are that when you say the words 'Independence Day' to most Americans then they'll get happy images of celebrations, holidays and fireworks in their minds. Ask any Irish person though and we instantly start thinking about Will Smith punching an alien in the face or Jeff Goldblum uttering 'must go faster, must go faster' to himself.
