Fresh out of San Diego’s Comic-Con, the first teaser trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has arrived.
And it’s… fine?
The 39 second clip gives us a chance to see and, for the first time, hear Electro (Jamie Foxx), one of Peter Parker’s (Andrew Garfield) nasty enemies in the upcoming sequel to the unnecessary 2012 reboot.
“You wanna know how powerful I am? Well, I wanna know too… I’m Electro.”
Ooooooooooooooooh. Very mildly chilling – probably not the response the film-makers were looking for.
There’s also the promise of more Electro-related footage to come this weekend from the San Diego nerdfest so watch this space:

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release in Irish cinemas in April 2014
