We were going to say this looks floody brilliant but we thought better of it.
Starring Russell Crowe as the man himself, Jennifer Connolly as Noah’s missus Naameh and Emma Watson as lla, Noah’s adopted daughter, this first look at the big film of March 2014 certainly ticks all the ‘epic’ boxes.
It’s got massive scenes of masses of people, animals and water. It has some very bombastic music and it has some very beefy actors in it too in the shape of Anthony Hopkins and Ray Winstone.
Directed and written by Darren Aronofsky of Black Swan fame, it is a brave move taking on a biblical epic in 2014 but the basic story, apocalypse, is a cinematic staple at this stage, so you may as well go back to the first version of the tale.
Costing $130million to make, it certainly looks lush, but we need to see a bit more before we rush-in, two by two, to see it.
