Leitrim and Limerick folks mightn’t be too happy but the vast majority of people watching would have enjoyed this…

Not many songs manage to shoehorn in a reference to every single one of the 32 counties in Ireland but the Republic of Telly lads managed it tonight with a very commendable musical tribute to this fair nation of ours.

You’ll recognise most of the songs that have had their lyrics altered to include references to Irish towns and counties but our personal favourites include ‘Offalyyy, Offaly, Offalyyy, Offaly (to the tune of Call on Me), She’s from Limerick, but it’s nothing to do with me (to the tune of She’s Electric) and Don’t stop in Leitrim (to the tune of Don’t Stop believing).

You can view the lyrics in full under the YouTube clip here and sure you might as well sing along with the lads while you’re at it, because if this doesn’t make you feel more patriotic and more Irish, we don’t know what will.

Nice work lads.
