We were about to say they’re due a change of fortunes, but then Game of Thrones doesn’t exactly work like that.
We’re not going into go into specifics in an attempt to avoid spoiling anything for those who haven’t seen all of the episodes to date – although, if you’re watching a teaser for Season Four you probably have – but it would be fair to say that the Starks have probably had it toughest of all the families or Houses in Game of Thrones in the first three series so far.
Those of you who have read the books will have an idea of what George Martin has plotted for Arya, Sansa, Bran, Rickon and Jon Snow in Season Four, but from what we’ve seen of the trailers so far and in the teaser above, they’re going to feature heavily when the HBO show returns to our screens in April, with young Arya in particular seemingly in the mood for vengeance.
Once again, the phrase “Valar Morghulis” (All Men Must Die) is prominent in the teaser above and given what’s gone on to date, we wouldn’t be surprised if that happened in a 30-second segment of just a single episode of the new season. No, seriously.
