We never thought we’d say this, but we actually cannot wait for the release of the Lego movie early next year.
The fact that names like Morgan Freeman, Will Ferrell and Liam Neeson were attached to the project was already exciting enough, but judging by the latest trailer, it already looks as if it’s going to be one of the more entertaining and humorous releases of 2014.
If you didn’t already know the plot, it revolves around an ordinary guy called Emmet, who is mistaken as the Master Builder, the one who can save the Lego universe, and with the assistance of a very sarcastic Batman amongst others, he sets out to stop the evil Lord Business (Will Ferrell) from destroying the Lego universe by gluing it together.
We particularly liked the bits of Batman in the trailer above, but with a host of p*ss-takey movie references – ‘Come with me if you want to… not die’ – and such a stellar cast involved, it seems destined to be a big hit and not, eh, collapse under the weight of expectation when it is released in February of next year.
