This could and hopefully will be the funniest movie this year.
Expectations for the sequel to Seth McFarlane’s classic are obviously high given the quality of the original, but we certainly like what we see from the official trailer that was released today.
Mila Kunis, sadly, doesn’t feature this time around, but the lovely Amanda Seyfried does, as do Liam Neeson, Morgan Freeman and Sam Jones. That’s right, Flash Gordon is back.
In the sequel, Ted and his wife Tami-Lynn want to have a baby but have to overcome a number of considerable obstacles to do so, not least the fact that, as a teddy bear, Ted isn’t exactly, eh, ‘equipped’ to produce the goods.
There’s also some legal issues to be sorted out but our chief concern for now is that there appears to be plenty of laughs in store and if it can live up to the original, everyone will be pretty satisfied.
We can’t wait.
Ted 2 goes on release in Ireland on July 10.
