Video: The Simpsons meets Homeland in ‘Homerland’

The Simpsons isn’t what it used to be but they still do a pretty decent job of parodying popular TV shows from time to time. Now, it’s Homeland’s turn.

The Showtime series is set to return for a third series next week (Irish viewers will be able to watch the Season Three premiere on October 1) and, without wanting to give much away for those who haven’t caught up yet, fans will be interested to see where it picks up after an explosive (literally) ending to the second season.

Just in time for the season premiere Stateside, The Simpsons have released their own Homeland spoof entitled ‘Homerland’, complete with the same intro music and cameos from former Presidents Bush, Reagan and Clinton, all of whom have been mercilessly parodied on the show in the past.

We don’t always say this about The Simpsons these days but as was the case when they gave shows like Breaking Bad and The Sopranos similar treatment, this is pretty nice work.
