Domhnall Gleeson’s star is on an unstoppable ascension and his new movie Ex Machina looks like another cracker to add to his ever burgeoning back catalogue.
Directed by Alex Garland, who wrote 28 Days Later, Sunshine and the 2012 cult favourite, Dredd, it has all the makings of a brilliant directorial debut, if the trailers are anything to go by at least.

Set for release in 2015, it’s a story about a young programmer (Gleeson) who is selected to participate in a breakthrough experiment in artificial intelligence by evaluating the human qualities of a breathtaking female A.I. played by the stunning Alicia Vikander.
