If Season Two of True Detective actually ends up looking like this we reckon we’d be happy enough.
Production for the next series of the wildly popular HBO crime drama is yet to get underway so Season Two teaser clips are a long way away yet, but now that Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn have been confirmed for major roles, we can start to imagine what it’s going to look like.
The folks at Vulture have done just that and pieced together footage of the two stars looking all cool, tough and intense in previous roles; needless to say Vaughn’s turns in the likes of Zoolander, Old School and Wedding Crashers didn’t quite make it into the final cut.
There’s further news on the casting front, meanwhile, with Variety reporting that Rachel McAdams is the favourite to land one of the lead female roles, news that has gone down pretty well in JOE Towers.
Furthermore, as has been suggested for some time, Taylor Kitsch of Friday Night Lights and, eh, Battleship fame is expected to appear alongside Farrell as one of the detectives in a second season that will be based in California as opposed to Louisiana this time around.
We can’t wait to see how it turns out.
