Video: Trailers don’t come much sexier or more stylish than the one for the new Sin City movie

This looks fantastic.

This looks fantastic.

The original Sin City, directed by Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez with some help from Quentin Tarantino and based on a series of graphic novels written by Miller, was one of the most memorable flicks of the 2000s. As well as having an all-star cast, it was visually stunning and deservedly garnered plenty of acclaim from critics and moviegoers alike.

The follow-up, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, has almost all of the elements that made the first one so good and if the trailer is anything to go by, it could end up being even better than what went before.

Miller and Rodriguez return, as do original cast members Jessica Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson and Mickey Rourke and they’re joined by the likes of Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Eva Green, Josh Brolin and even Lady Gaga for an adaptation of the second book in Miller’s series, titled, you guessed it, ‘A Dame to Kill For’.

Like the original, there are a number of plots intertwined in the sequel, but already you can tell there’s going to be lots of violence, lots of dark themes and lots of a scantily-clad Jessica Alba looking very angry, which as you’ll see for yourself, is not necessarily a bad thing.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For will be released in cinemas here on August 29.
