Rule Number 1: Never work with children or animals.

Rule Number 1: Never work with children or animals.

Mike Sobel of Global Edmonton in Canada found out about this rule the hard way last week when he brought Ripple, the one-year-old Shepherd-Mastiff cross, on air to present the weather forecast with him.

It seems that Ripple isn’t a big fan of the weather and was more concerned with tugging on his leash in an attempt to coerce a bit of play out of Sobel, rather than listen to what temperature it is in Barrhead. As far as Ripple is concerned, weather time is play time…

Ripple shows some great jaw strength to chew through his lead, but not before pulling Sobel all around the set… not content to be free, the boisterous Ripple then attempts to be reunited with his handler following his escape.

Ripple was brought to the station by the Edmonton Humane Society as he is up for adoption, and apparently it is a weekly ritual for Sobel to bring the animals on board to present the weather with him.

We’re not going to lie, we think this could be one of the funniest videos we’ve seen and we want to know if Ripple is available for adoption in Ireland…
