"Jared, someone broke in and stole my left ugg boot!"
We all give Saturday Night Live some stick because, well, more often than not, the sketches just aren't THAT funny.
Remember that time Saoirse Ronan was on and proceeded to host an episode that was almost entirely devoid of humour? Yeah, that was bad.
However, every now and again, they'll come up with some proper comedy gold, like that time Tom Hanks was involved in the 'Haunted Elevator' and it was an inspired slice of lunacy.
Well, this weekend, the show was hosted by Oscar-winner Emma Stone (who we know, thanks to Easy A and Zombieland, can be very funny), and she was gifted with one of the best SNL sketches in years, namely 'The Actress'.
Anyone who has ever seen the "Not in front of my salad!" meme will get the inspiration, but even if you haven't, you should still find this hilarious, as Stone plays a background actress on a porn shoot who is trying as hard as she possibly can to dig as deep as possible into her character's wants, needs, dreams, and hopes.
Of course, it being a porn movie, that level of method acting isn't exactly necessary, or even helpful, but that isn't going to stop her from trying to find out why her character loves batteries, is missing a shoe, and why "Godson" keeps staying over...
